The Predator Helios 300 sports an overall black design with some sprinkles of blue accents every here and there. Instead, the company has switched to a rather typical gaming-laptop look. In terms of the design, Acer decided to no longer rely on a black and red design as it did with the previous Helios 300. Just like its name ‘Predator’, this power-packed device definitely feels like a gaming laptop with its very own identity. Road Rash was released before analogue game controllers were common and so only supports digital controls in-game. You’re now ready to race, but if you want to use a gamepad, read on to the next section first. Once you’ve configured these options, select “Done”. Biker Resolution should be set to “High” and “Videos” to “Large Videos”. Make sure that “Race Resolution” is set to 640×480. From the main menu choose “Restroom”, then choose “Graphics Options”. This concept allowed us to prove that the geometric measure of coherence is a valid coherence quantifier, thus answering a question left open in several previous works." "More precisely, we show that any quantifier of entanglement gives rise to a quantifier of coherence. "The significance of our work lies in the fact that we prove the close relation between entanglement and coherence not only qualitatively, but on a quantitative level," coauthor Alex Streltsov, of ICFO-The Institute of Photonic Sciences in Barcelona, told. ![]() As the scientists explained, this is possible because the new results allowed them to define and quantify one resource in terms of the other. For example, the new knowledge has already allowed the physicists to settle an important open question concerning the geometric measure of coherence: since the geometric measure of entanglement is a "full convex monotone," the same can be said of the associated coherence measure. Consequently, all of the comprehensive knowledge that researchers have obtained about entanglement can now be directly applied to coherence, which in general is not nearly as well-researched (outside of the area of quantum optics). For one, it means that quantum coherence can be measured through entanglement. This discovery of the conversion between coherence and entanglement has several important implications. The physicists arrived at this result by showing that, in general, any nonzero amount of coherence in a system can be converted into an equal amount of entanglement between that system and another initially incoherent one. In a paper to be published in Physical Review Letters, physicists led by Gerardo Adesso, Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham in the UK, with coauthors from Spain and India, have provided a simple yet powerful answer to the question of how these two resources are related: the scientists show that coherence and entanglement are quantitatively, or operationally, equivalent, based on their behavior arising from their respective resource theories. Like coherence, quantum entanglement also plays an essential role in quantum technologies, such as quantum teleportation, quantum cryptography, and super dense coding. The intrigue of entanglement lies in the fact that the two entangled particles are so intimately correlated that a measurement on one particle instantly affects the other particle, even when separated by a large distance. But in this case, the states in a superposition are the shared states of two entangled particles rather than those of the two split waves of a single particle. The second phenomenon, quantum entanglement, also involves superposition. When such a state experiences decoherence, however, all of its quantumness is typically lost and the advantage vanishes. Coherence also lies at the heart of quantum computing, in which a qubit is in a superposition of the "0" and "1" states, resulting in a speed-up over various classical algorithms. This concept of superposition is famously represented by Schrödinger's cat, which is both dead and alive at the same time when in its coherent state inside a closed box. ![]() If an object's wave-like nature is split in two, then the two waves may coherently interfere with each other in such a way as to form a single state that is a superposition of the two states. Quantum coherence deals with the idea that all objects have wave-like properties. ![]() It's well-known that quantum coherence and quantum entanglement are both rooted in the superposition principle-the phenomenon in which a single quantum state simultaneously consists of multiple states-but in different ways. Although physicists have known that coherence and entanglement are close relatives, the exact relationship between the two resources has not been clear. ![]() Most DAW systems have multiple inserts for each channel that allow you to add software based "plug-in" processors. Now with modern software based DAW systems, we have plenty of power and flexibility to work with. If you wanted to insert more than one piece of external hardware into the signal path, you simply daisy chained them, connection the output of the first piece to the input of the next piece, and finally taking the output of the last piece of hardware back into the channel insert return. On some consoles, there are switches that allow you to change the EQ, or at least the hi and low pass filters, to come before the channel inserts in the signal chain. So, any external gear you insert will come before the channel EQ, Fader, and Pan. In terms of signal flow, the channel insert connections usually come right after the microphone pre-amps for that channel. On some lower cost home consoles, the insert jacks use one TRS style connector, which requires a special "insert cable" that breaks that connection out to separate send and return connectors on the other end, for patching to the inputs and outputs of your external gear. Usually there is a pair of connections, an "insert send" for sending the audio out to the external gear's input, and then an "insert return" for patching in the output of the external gear back into the channel. As soon as you plugged something into the insert, the normal signal path was broken, and the audio was routed out to whatever you patched into the insert, and then returned back to the channel signal path. If nothing was plugged into the insert, the audio proceeds through the channel normally. Of course, you don't actually insert the physical piece of hardware! It's simply a set of audio connections, usually wired to a patchbay in big studios, that allow you to send the signal out to the external hardware, and then bring the processed audio back into the same signal. On a traditional consol, an Insert is a set of connections in a channel path that would allow you to "insert" an external piece of audio processing hardware into the signal path. While there is no right or wrong way to do anything, and modern DAW software and computers have enough power to do almost anything you want, there are reasons why the more traditional methods of using inserts and sends were established. They may have had no formal training, and thus may be unfamiliar with the way channel inserts and effects sends, or aux sends, are traditionally used, especially in the big studios with big analog consoles. Many young engineers, and home recording enthusiasts, have never worked with an analog console before, and the only mixer they have ever used is that built into their DAW software of choice. Additionally, you will see the renamed inserts "Hardware EQ 1" and "Hardware EQ 2".The topic of inserts and effects sends came up in a recent post on the message board here, so I thought I'd write a permanent article to explain the difference and how they are typically used in recording or mixing applications. ![]() In this screen, inputs or outputs B1 and B2 may appear as yellow, indicating that they are currently being used in the session. To utilize a hardware insert, first, click on one of the available insert points on a track in Pro Tools. Naming the inputs and outputs according to the devices that are connected to them saves time and eliminates the need to remember which device is connected to which input/output. The mono sub-paths, which can be accessed by clicking on the triangle, will be automatically named "Hardware EQ.L" and "Hardware EQ.R", but I can use the same labeling process to change them to "Hardware EQ 1" and "Hardware EQ 2". We would rename "B 5-6" to "Hardware EQ". ![]() By double-clicking on the stereo insert, I can label both channels at once. For example, I can designate channels 5 and 6 on my HD I/O for use with a hardware EQ. In Pro Tools, you can label the hardware insert points in the Insert tab of the I/O window. ![]() Therein, the Quran again makes reference to the marked stones considering them as a form of punishment sent down upon those who were very prodigal and wasteful and who committed sins and rebelled. As per Islamic view, he was the Son of Haran and nephew of Ibrahim (AS), also known as Abraham. Today, we will be focusing on the Full story and all of his life events in this video. It has to be said that as it is clear from the meaning of the verse 83 of Chapter Hud, there is not discrepancy or divergence between this verse and the preceding verses and it cannot be assumed that this verse has been misplaced or not used in its proper context, especially in view of the fact that elsewhere in the Quran the story of the tribe of Lut has been restated with very little variation in the words. Prophet Lut (AS) was the prophet sent to this earth from ALLAH (SWT), Prophet Lut (AS) was also mentioned in The Bible as well. According to this verse, the stones were not ordinary stones rather they were marked. Thus, it says: "So when Our decree came to pass, We turned them upside down and rained down upon them stones, of what had been decreed, one after another." In the following verse which has something to do with the question, the Quran elaborates on the type of stones sent down upon the people of Lut. He went North West passing through Syria to Canine and later in Egypt, Ibrahim travelled widely and lived almost a nomadic life and later on. and despaired at the stubbornness of his family and community so with his wife and few possessions and his loyal nephew Lut he decided to migrate from Ur. This is very critical during a crisis considering every second matters when an emergency threat is occurring. Keeping the panic low-key can help get responders notified as soon as possible. However, tripping a panic button could save your life during a life-threatening event. Picking up the phone and calling 911 may not always be an option for a small office. I always recommend calling 911 as quickly as possible. Why Not Pick Up the Phone and Call 911 in an Emergency? Installing a notification system should be seriously considered in light of recent news events centered around domestic terrorism. Moreover, all industries have some level of threat present. However, you will find times where a panic button system would have been useful to help relieve a potential crisis situation. The cost of adding a safety plan or installing panic buttons drops in importance due to funding issues. Often small businesses operate on a tight budget.
